Summer Law School

This year ELSA Zagreb organises the traditional International Summer Law School “Human Rights and Globalisation” for the tenth time, which is being held from the 26th of July till 02nd of August 2009. in Zadar in the renewed University Campus. This year’s main topics comprise human rights in the EU and their protection. Through eight days of interactive lectures and workshops students will have the chance to broaden their legal knowledge. The programme combines experiences of native and foreign experts in law.
This years lecturers are: Mylonaki, Emmanouela, Tin Gazivoda, Director of the Center for Human Rights & Luka Maderic, Head of the Government for Human Rights – Trafficking.

Why to participate in the ELSA International Summer Law School “Human rights and Globalisation”?
One week of fun with a rich academic and social programme through which the participants are given the possibility to take part in an outstanding informal educational programme, to establish a cooperation between Croatian and foreign students, to correlate students and eminent law experts in their future work, to give students a chance to create their own projects, to train students in the expertness of creating project proposals.
Zadar, a beautiful seaside resort on the mid-Adriatic coast, combines such diverse influences crammed into one small town! It offers lots of historical and cultural sights such as the City Gates, City Walls, Five Wells Square, St Donatus’ Church, the unique Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun…. Combined with a wild nightlife and the crystal blue sea will leave lifetime memories!

Every year, as a part of this project, we' re going to one-day field trip. Considering that this is a great 10th School, we wanted something more than ordinary. So, we decided it's going to be rafting on the river, with the lunch at the goal of the water route.
We're happy that we have a chance to bring a bit adventorous spirit in this project. And we hope you'll like it!

For the evening, we planned hot summer parties and good reasons not to sleep!
Some of them are:
NATIONAL DRINKS EVENING - perfect for meeting all participants and the countries they come from throw the drinks they drink! Thell me what you drink and I'll tell you who you are!
PUB CROWL - 5tims compete which one is going to be the fastest in drinking in the all pubs along Zadar coast. The winner gets the prize.
BLUE MOON PARTY
"I`m blue da bu di da bu da"- words from Eifel 65 lyrics, gives an ideal meaning of this party. Blue clothes, blue hair, blue skin, blue theme of ELSA members!
THE GARDEN - famous night club on the old walls of Zadar. Hot summer is marked with parties and various guest DJs and performers.
Hot, hot, hot!
